Tyler Stamford, CT As a father myself, I commend you for wanting to go beyond the standard tie. A lot of men have begun to collect watches, yet I've noticed that they don't have a proper case to safely display and protect their valuable timepieces. Since they can only wear one watch at a time, I would recommend a fine leather watch case, many of which have a glass exhibition window to display the watches not currently being worn. Many watch cases also feature built-in programmable watch winders like the one by Scatola del Tempo, pictured here. Watch winders are essential in keeping automatic watches running, and eliminate the need to wind them in the morning, and set the date and time. Once he has a watch winder, he'll wonder how he ever got along without one. Montblanc and British fine leather goods manufacturer, Dunhill, offer some of the finest leather wallets, billfolds, briefcases, belts, laptop computer cases, PDA cases, and more which are suitable for both dad's and grad's. One of my personal most cherished father's day gifts is the personalized David Yurman cufflinks and matching bracelet my children gave to me last father's day. Just about all the suggestions I mentioned above surprisingly start at under $150. |
